His name is a fracture in the dark ... for Baldios, il guerriero dello spazio (宇宙戦士 バルディオス, Uchū Senshi Barudiosu) by Stefano Donno

His name is a fracture in the dark,

Marin, falling out of S‑1 like a broken star,
a son of scientists framed in a lab of dying air,
carrying the last clean equation in his chest pocket.

He does not land so much as rewind,
crashing into Earth’s blue memory,
where oceans have not yet learned
the shape of their own drowning.

Baldios waits for him like an unfinished sentence,
mecha as confession booth,
three machines sutured into one metallic prayer,
its joints creaking with every failed timeline.

Inside, wiring hums like remorse,
subspace opens—a second throat—
and the robot slips between dimensions
the way guilt slips between years.

You call this a war, but it is really repetition:
S‑1 poisoning itself into exile,
Aldebaran drawing crosshairs on another blue sphere,
Earth rehearsing the role of future ruins.

Gattler presses each button like a verdict,
artificial suns blooming over polar silence,
tsunami after tsunami spelling a single word:
Again.

In episode thirty‑two, the wave pauses mid‑scream,
“End” hanging beside it like a bad prophecy,
as if the universe itself forgot
how to move past impact.

But the loop keeps writing over itself:
S‑1 is Earth is S‑1,
history folding like a cockpit canopy,
closing on the same pilot, still not forgiven.

What kind of hero survives a circle?
Marin, space warrior,
cosplaying salvation in a suit of steel,
cannot un‑melt ice caps with courage,
cannot out‑punch fallout.

His victories are local,
measured in the seconds before the next siren,
in the way he still climbs into Baldios
knowing the storyboard of disaster by heart.

Tonight, another launch:
hangar lights flicker like exhausted stars,
Blue Fixer murmurs over the comms,
voices grainy with recycled air and doubt.

He lifts off anyway—
not to save the world (the world has already ended),
but to edit the margin of the inevitable,
to draw one clean arc through polluted sky
and call that thin, bright line
resistance
